Helpful Party Advice

Often Parents or organisers book shows with us but feel unsure about the best way to organise the party, which is why we have included this page to help those "first-time planners" who would like a little information on the organisation of the party.

When is the best time to plan the show?
We suggest anytime from 30 minutes after guests are scheduled to arrive onwards, this way there is time for any late-comers to arrive and still not miss the magic show. The "30 minute after party begins" time slot is perfect as it also allows the performer time to set up without being disturbed by the children.

How much space do we need for the entertainment?
Not much at all, most loungerooms are perfect! Around 1.5 x 2 metres for the performance space and adequate space for the children to sit in front. Remember, the closer they are to each other, the more they react to the show!

Should we plan the party indoors or outdoors?
It is highly advised to plan the party indoors as all your plans may be cancelled if rain or a windy day occurs. For the sake of the show, it is also a much better idea as the entertainer can maintain a strong connection with the audience when in a stable indoors environment.

How many children can attend the party?
Any amount from 5 to 75! We have a professional P.A. system and microphone to enable everyone to laugh and clap as much as they like, and not miss a beat! Please advise us however, if you are expecting more than 20 children as we will need to pack more candy!

When should we present the cake?
The best time for this we have found is at the end of the show. Once the signal for the final routine for the show is given, it's a good idea to have the cake ready to bring in so that you already have the children's attention in one spot.

Can there be more than 1 birthday child?
Most certainly, the shows can be revolved around multiple birthdays easily. It is also advisable to ensure that prior to the show none of the children have anything in their hands. This will help stop any distractions and will maximise the show.

Is there anything you can do to help make the party run with ease?
We recommend attaching balloons to the letterbox to make it easier for both guests and the entertainers to find the venue, please ensure that the children have nothing in their hands prior to the show, and it's always a good idea to have an activity to run while the magician is setting up for the show.
